Fund Management Setup

Set up your funds, investors, fees and investor portal access, so investor capital is tracked on the same platform as your loans.

📘

Add-on

Fund Management is an add-on. Contact your account manager or [email protected] to enable the full module.

Fund Management makes LendingWise the system of record for investor capital. It tracks who put money in, which loans that money went into, what it earned and what was paid back out. It works hand in hand with Servicing 3.0: interest your loans collect flows to the right fund and investors without a spreadsheet in between.

Where to set it up

Platform Settings → Fund Management (manager access) is for configuration only: module defaults, funds, yield tiers, fees and investors. Day-to-day operations, such as contributions, distributions and NAV, run from Fund Management → Command Center; see Fund Management & Investors.

1. Create a fund

Click + New Fund. The first question is Type of Fund:

Evergreen (open-end)Closed-End
LifeOngoing; investors come and goFixed term, then wind-down
OwnershipUnits priced at NAV per unitDollar capital accounts
Money comes in viaSubscriptionsCommitments and capital calls
Investors exit viaRedemption requestsReturn-of-capital distributions
❗️

Fund type is permanent

Once a fund has activity, its type can't be changed. If you chose wrong, wind that fund down and create a new one.

Required fields are marked: name and inception date, plus NAV strike cadence (evergreen) or fund term (closed-end). Every field has a tooltip explaining what it drives.

2. Yield and fees

Set the fund's yield structure (for example a fixed coupon or preferred return) and its management fees. Each loan's source rate and spread come from the fund, not from typing them per loan.

3. Investors and portal access

Add investors under Investors, including contacts and sub-accounts for entity investors. Click Grant Portal to e-mail an investor a secure set-password link to the Investor Portal. There they see only their own positions, statements and documents, never other investors or fund-wide data. You can re-invite or revoke access at any time.

4. Staff permissions

On each employee's profile, switch on Allowed to View / Edit Fund Management for the people who should work with funds.

5. Capital raising (optional)

Publish an offering page for a fund to capture investor leads. Prospects can register and soft-commit inside the investor portal, and you approve and fund those commitments in one place. Offerings support Rule 506(b) and 506(c) raises, and a bad-actor attestation is required before any page goes live.

Talk to your counsel

Raising and managing outside capital carries legal and reporting obligations. LendingWise gives you the tools to track and report accurately; it doesn't tell you what you are legally required to do.
