Dashboard, Reports & KPIs
Three places to get a number — the dashboard for today, the pipeline for the list, and KPIs and reports for what happened over time.
Each of the three reporting surfaces answers a different question. Knowing which is which saves you building a report that already exists.
| Surface | Answers | Use it when |
|---|---|---|
| Dashboard | "How is the business doing right now?" | Every morning — it is the state of play. |
| Pipeline | "Which files, exactly?" | You need the list, filtered and exportable. See The Pipeline. |
| KPIs & Reports | "What happened over time?" | Period reporting, trends, anything you send to someone else. |
The dashboard
For most back-office users this is the landing page. It shows:
- File counts and loan volume by status, with origination fees, broker fees and funded volume beneath each tile
- Upcoming closings — the one table worth checking every morning
- Most recently updated files, loan program mix, concentration by state (a map), top producers, lead sources
- Tasks and reminders assigned to you
You can show or hide individual statuses on the dashboard from your file status settings — see Loan Stages & File Statuses.
The date filter changes every figureFilter by created, closing, maturity or target closing date. Created tells you about origination volume, closing about completed business, maturity about what is coming back. If a number looks wrong, check the date basis first.
Your dashboard is only as honest as your statusesEvery count comes from file status. A dead file left in "Processing" is counted as live work. Keep statuses current and the dashboard stays trustworthy.
KPIs
The KPI screens show volume over time: loans closed, total loan amount, recent months and a four-year comparison, by closing date and by state, over any date range. A large export by closing date (up to 100,000 records) is there when you or your accountant need the rows.
Reports
The Reports menu holds module reporting:
- Servicing — portfolio snapshot, delinquency and aging, maturities and more (Servicing 3.0 add-on). See Servicing a Loan.
- Fund Management — fund dashboard, investor statements, investor reports and tax packages (add-on). See Fund Management & Investors.
- 3rd Party Services — what you ordered from vendors and what it cost.
- Billing / Payables — what is owed and payable.
Two reports disagree? It is almost always a date-basis difference — created vs. closed, target vs. actual closing. Check what each figure counts before assuming the data is wrong.
